Summary
Steam irons are quite often seen at Restart parties. They can be challenging to open.
Disassembly
Usually there will be an easily accessible screw at the back of the handle but this only releases that part of the handle. Another screw near the front may be hidden, but even after removing this, the handle cover is hard to remove. There is likely to be a series of clips down the sides, but this may not be all. In the iron illustrated there was another clip towards the back of the top of the handle which must be released.
